Jing is the BEST Free screen capture software that I have come across.  Jing allows you to capture video or still shots and it does exactly what it is intended to do with no frills and annoying ads.  You can annotate your screencasts or screenshots with a basic text box, arrow, highlight, or rectangle.  When you are all finished, you can then upload the finished product to Screencast.com (a free online video storage site) or directly to your FTP or blog.  You can even choose to save it to your computer.  As I mentioned, Jing is FREE but your finished products will have the Jing logo on them or you can pay 15 bucks a yr to have them removed.  Let’s face it, $15 a yr is nothing!  I spend that much during one visit to my favorite fast food joint.
